The Tauranga Astronomical Society is located in the northeast corner of a redeveloped community complex in Ferguson park, Otumoetai.
Meetings are held on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of every month at 7:30 pm (February through December).
Presentations are given on current astronomical topics and we hold telescope viewing, weather permitting.
All children are FREE. Adults $5. Become a member: Adults $30, Family $40, Student $10.
The observatory houses a variety of equipment:
A 14 inch Meade LX200-ACF telescope.
A Lundt Solar 60 telescope for viewing the Sun.
We also have a 10 inch Dobsonian, a 8 inch Meade LX10 SCT and a couple of other smaller telescopes.
