Coming up on Tuesday 24th October at 7:30pm
‘The Universe’. A video lecture by Professor Brian Cox, described as simple, amazing and very informative. What was there before the ‘Big Bang’ and what is the Universe expanding into, are 2 further items for the evening.
Telescope viewing of the moon and Saturn, weather dependent. Fergusson Park. 7.30
Free for members, Adults are $5.00, children are free. 12 Month membership is $30.00 for individuals, $40.00 for families, or $10.00 for students.
Weather permitting, the telescopes will be available for viewing.
Meetings are held in the Observatory meeting room, Fergusson Park, Tauranga. These are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 7:30 pm. Presentations are given on current astronomical topics. All those interested in astronomy in the Bay of Plenty district are invited to attend.
