ISS Pass – 09th May 2020

The first pass visible from 5:50pm will rise in the South West and will be at its highest in the SOUTH EAST at 5:54pm, passing across the bottom of the two “Pointer” stars below the Southern Cross (as seen from Tauranga / BOP). ISS will fade into the Earth’s shadow in the East at 5:57pm.

The second will visible from 7:27pm will rise in the West-South-West and will be at its highest in the NORTH WEST at 7:30pm as it passes Orion. ISS will fade into the Earth’s shadow in the North West at almost 7:31pm

Please note that the sky chart has East on the left and West on the right because it is meant to correspond to the sky over your head, and not the ground under your feet like a map of the earth. You have to imagine holding the chart above your head to use it, and then the directions are correct.
