Tauranga Astronomical Society’s observatory is located in the Otumoetai Sports and Recreation Club (OSRC) building, Fergusson Park, at the end of Tilby Drive, Matua, Tauranga.

The observatory houses a variety of equipment:
- A 14 inch Meade LX200-ACF telescope.
- A Lundt Solar 60 telescope for viewing the Sun.
- 10 inch Dobsonian
- 8 inch Meade LX10 SCT
- …and a number of other smaller telescopes.
